Collierville Office

The following physicians are at our Collierville Office:


wHayes.jpgDr. Wayland J. Hayes, a physician board certified in pediatrics, joined Pediatrics East in 1987. He completed medical school and a Pediatric Residency at the University of Tennessee at Memphis and LeBonheur Children's Hospital.  He and his wife have two children.





wFesmire.jpgWilliam M. Fesmire, MD is a physician board certified in pediatrics who attended medical school at the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences and completed his pediatric training at LeBonheur Children's Medical Center through the University of Tennessee.  He and his wife, Karen, have a daughter, Maggie, and a son, Witt.  Dr Fesmire is past president of the Memphis and Mid-South Pediatric Society, served as Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Baptist Memphis for six years, and has served on the board of the March of Dimes and numerous positions at LeBonheur during his pediatric career.  He is currently an elder at Germantown Presbyterian Church where he also teaches adult Sunday School.



gNewman.jpgDr. Grant T. Newman joined Pediatrics East in 2000 after finishing his residency at UT Medical Center in Memphis/Lebonheur Children's Hospital. He is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. He and his wife, Dr. Erin Newman (optometrist), live in Collierville with their two children, Cooper (born 10/00) and Jack (born 7/03). Dr. Newman serves on the AOA(medical honor society) executive council at UT-college of medicine.   He is active in the Collierville youth sports programs, serving as both a member of the advisory board and as a volunteer coach.



Mitchell.jpgLauren S. Mitchell, MD, a physician board-certified in pediatrics, received her medical degree from Louisiana State Universtiy Medical Center in New Orleans and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee at Memphis and LeBonheur Children's Hospital.  She is a member of the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society and the Infectious Disease Society of America.  Dr. Mitchell and her husband, Dr. Jon McCullers, have two sons, Marcus and Kevin.
