Clinical Operations Manager

POSITION: Clinical Operations Manager

Reports to:  Practice Administrator
Position Supervises:  Clinical Labs, Nurse Triage Call Center, Part-time staff 
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Description: This position is responsible for supervising and maintaining the daily clinical operations of Pediatrics East including: 

  • Purchasing and inventory management of clinic supplies, vaccines and pharmaceutical supplies
  • Budgeting and reconciling invoices for vaccine and medical supply orders
  • Writing and updating current Pediatrics East laboratory policies and procedures
  • Responsibility for insuring that all government requirements for CLIA regulations are met and maintained per the Pediatrics East Lab Manual
  • Training, staffing and management of all clinic labs
  • Reviewing After Hours Triage Calls
  • Insuring that miscellaneous items related to the daily clinic operations are carried out including CPR certifications, After Hours Call, HEDIS and VAERS reports, SYNAGIS and FMLA.


  • Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Tennessee is required: RNpreferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a physician office
  • Supervisory experience preferred 
  • Experience in Lab management including CLIA and proficiency testing
  • Excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write policies and procedures
  • Ability to spend time on-site weekly at each clinic/lab location. 

Office Nurse

POSITION: Office Nurse

RN, LPN, or MA
MONDAY – FRIDAY, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Responsibilities include:

  • providing age appropriate care to patients
  • use of electronic health record updating and monitoring 
  • patient care related follow-up (test results, ER and specialist reports, etc.) 
  • organizing office work flows to maximize efficiency and quality of care
  • assist physician during examination, treatment and procedures
  • help patients to be comfortable and cooperative with examinations/procedures

The candidate must possess: excellent customer service and communication skills, be dependable, flexible, and organized.

Front Desk Receptionist

POSITION: Front Desk/Receptionist 

This position is responsible for ensuring our patients are treated with courtesy and professionalism during their visit at Pediatrics East. This position is also responsible for ensuring that insurance information is entered correctly so that insurance claims are paid promptly. This position reviews charges submitted by physicians to ensure they are entered correctly before submitting to insurance. The Front Desk/Receptionist staff member also handles phone calls correctly and directs phone calls to the correct person in a professional manner. This position is responsible for ensuring they, as well as Pediatrics East Inc., are HIPAA compliant. 

The candidate must possess:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Finance experience 
  • Front desk experience in healthcare is also preferred

Appointment Line Specialist

POSITION: Appointment Line Specialist

Hours:  7:30 – 4:30, Monday – Friday 
This position is responsible for making appointments using our practice management software and ensuring that our patients are treated with courtesy and professionalism on the telephone. This position is also responsible for verifying that patient information is entered correctly so that appointments may be set accurately and promptly. The Appointment Line staff handles telephone calls, sends out appointment reminders and performs other office duties as requested.  
The candidate must possess: 

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Finance and computer experience 
  • Front desk or appointment line experience in healthcare is also preferred.
