The concept of the "medical home" has always been at the heart of the practice of medicine. Continuity of care is undeniably critical to providing high-quality health care, providing more in-depth understanding and knowledge of your child's health needs beyond what is obtained in a single limited visit (at an outside walk-in clinic).
Despite this, we continue to see an increase of walk-in clinics in retail outlets throughout our area. We are concerned by the repeated examples of what appear to be disjointed care of an isolated problem and resulting treatments that do not integrate with your child's overall medical needs. This often results in duplication of tests and treatments with increased expense for your family.
The physicians and staff of Pediatrics East pledge to provide the best possible care for your child throughout their young lives. We are available 24 hours a day by phone and our offices are open seven days a week.
We offer an early morning sick clinic Monday through Friday, an evening clinic Monday through Thursday, Saturday morning and Sunday morning sick clinics to care for your child's emergent needs.
We offer same-day appointments for sick and well children, take care of simple and complex problems and we are all board-certified pediatricians. We do not try to be everything to everyone, but we do try to be the best at what we do.
