Dr. Melanie McClain Smith
Dr. Melanie McClain Smith is a native Memphian who received her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Tennessee. She then completed her pediatric residency through the University of Tennessee in Memphis at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.
During her residency, she met her husband, Jeff, who is also a Pediatrician. She then served an additional year as a Pediatric Chief Resident prior to joining Pediatrics East.
Dr. Smith is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics, and her favorite part of pediatrics is forming relationships with her patients and watching them grow up. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running with her dogs, and watching Florida State football! Dr. Smith and her husband have two children, Elizabeth and Tyler.
